BIG PREMIERE ISSUE - 36 PAGES!
Venus Rises: Series 2 continues the adventure, this time chronicling the lives of Terry Holden and Hollister Pelt III, as the civil war between Venus and Mars unfolds around them. The two story lines will eventually merge into one as events unfold.
Exordium #1 has two covers to choose from. The standard cover showcases the Venusian crew, while the alternate cover (limited quantity) is of the Mars' protagonist.
Terry Holden, a single mother and Captain of a Venusian salvage ship, wants nothing more than to make an honest living. Her son, Percival, can't wait to start his first year studying abroad at a prestigious Martian college. When the Venusian Resistance attacks a prominent corporate headquarters, Mars goes into lockdown. Percival is detained by Martian authorities and Terry quickly finds herself torn between staying neutral to protect her livelihood, or risk everything to save her son.
Hollister Pelt III is an Asset Protection Enforcer tasked to save the Shirokawa Corporation from a hostile takeover. For the last year, he's been analyzing the disappearance of the mining vessel Ikarus and finally believes he knows the whereabouts of its very lucrative cargo. But some high ranking officials in the Mars Defense Directorate don't want to see the Ikarus disaster resurrected... putting Hollister in their crosshairs.

Strap on your seat belts! Venus Rises is about to take off! Lets do this together!
Our Kickstarter campaign starts on January 11th, 2016 and ends February 10th, 2016.
Earth was quarantined fifty years ago. Since then, long-running political and cultural clashes between Mars and Venus have intensified. Talk of revolution permeates the ether. Humanity is on the threshold of interplanetary war!
The crew of the salvage spaceship Cattywompus find themselves at the epicenter of humankind's first interplanetary civil war.
Issue #1 will be 32 action-packed pages in glorious color.
THE BACKSTORY: VR was originally a web series, produced back in 2007. Relying heavily on physical sets, rather than green screen, it quickly became too costly to maintain. Production was shut down after just 3 episodes.
I wouldn't give up. I sought out other, more cost effective, avenues to tell my story... eventually deciding with comic books. This new medium allows me to ignore the budgetary restraints I had with the web show... giving me the freedom to finally match my imagination. In 2014, I adapted my remaining shooting scripts into a 2-parter comic book. This not only gave my web show a proper ending, but also served to set up the next series.
VR's next chapter starts roughly 2 years after the events seen in the web show... midst the civil war between Venus and Mars... with all new characters, new exotic locales (in-depth looks at the Martian and Venusian colonies), and an all new 'hero' spaceship designed from stem to stern.
Venus Rises... the little engine that could... is poised to become 2016's next big sci-fi franchise!
